News at Friedman Place

Friedman Place residents were recently invited to visit the rescued animals at the Hooved Animal Rescue & Protection Society (HARPS). Headquartered in Barrington, IL, HARPS is a non-profit organization that primarily works to save mistreated horses from abuse and neglect. Many Friedman residents love animals, and jumped at the chance to spend a day petting horses, miniature ponies, goats, and dogs. Staff led the group on a tour of the beautiful HARPS farm, and gave residents the opportunity to feel and smell the horses’ grain feed, bridles and saddles. Many thanks to HARPS staff for a wonderful afternoon!
